Dr. Patty Wu
Dr. Patty Wu is a family dentist who has been providing dental care since 2007. She graduated from the University of British Columbia with an Honours degree in Biochemistry and completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at UBC. Dr. Wu is a member of BC Dental Association and Vancouver Society of Restorative Dentistry. She values education, prevention and dental technologies to improve comfort and treatment outcomes. She cares for patients from infancy through senior years and is committed to understanding each person’s needs at every stage of life. As a mother of two teenagers, she is especially attuned to children’s development and enjoys supporting young families. Outside the clinic, Dr. Wu enjoys time with her family, outdoor walks with their dog, and preparing healthy meals at home.
Dr. Sherry Liu
Dr. Sherry Liu graduated from Boston University’s Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2013. She enjoys caring for patients of all ages, including kids and seniors. She has a special interest in esthetic dentistry and in helping patients with worn or eroded teeth. Dr. Sherry uses Bioclear and injection-molding techniques for all posterior fillings to provide strong, natural results. She is committed to thoughtful, high-quality dentistry and continually works to refine her skills to best support her patients’ needs.
Dr. Ho Ma
Dr. Ho Ma brings an extensive professional history, with over four decades dedicated to the field of dental surgery. His journey began at McGill University, where he laid his academic foundations with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry.
Dr. Ma then advanced to Georgetown University in Washington, DC, to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine, a testament to his commitment to the discipline. His pursuit of excellence led him to Ohio State University, where he specialized further, obtaining a degree in Periodontics.
Beyond his clinical expertise, Dr. Ma is passionate about photography, often capturing the beauty he finds in his travels. His hobbies not only speak to his artistic side but also to his appreciation for the world’s diverse landscapes, perhaps reflecting the meticulous and aesthetic nature of his professional work.
Dr. Polly Huang
Dr. Polly Huang is a board-certified periodontist with a clinical focus on the treatment of gum disease, dental implant therapy, gum grafting, and bone regeneration. She has a particular interest in managing complex periodontal and implant-related conditions, including gum recession, peri-implantitis, and ridge deficiencies. Her treatment philosophy emphasizes thoughtful, evidence-based care and preserving natural teeth whenever possible. Originally from Taipei and raised in Vancouver, Dr. Huang began her career in dentistry as a dental hygienist. She graduated at the top of her class from the University of British Columbia, where she received the Gold Medal Award, and practiced dental hygiene for six years before pursuing her dental degree. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from the University of Pittsburgh and subsequently completed specialty training in Periodontics at Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Huang’s work in implant dentistry and bone regeneration has also been recognized by the Academy of Osseointegration, where she received the Best Case Study Award for a complex ridge augmentation case. Beyond clinical practice, she has a passion for dental education and previously served as a lead implant educator with RipeGlobal, teaching implant dentistry and periodontal regeneration to clinicians internationally. Dr. Huang is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and maintains professional affiliations with dental and periodontal organizations across North America. Fluent in both English and Mandarin, Dr. Huang believes patients should understand not only what treatment they may need, but why. She strives to make periodontal care approachable and collaborative so patients feel informed and comfortable throughout their treatment. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Huang enjoys traveling, discovering new restaurants, and spending time with her daughter.
Dr. Ryan Li
Growing up with dental anxiety himself, Dr. Ryan Li understands that visiting the dentist can feel intimidating. His calm, friendly, and judgment-free approach focuses on making every patient feel comfortable, heard, and informed. Whether you’re nervous about dental treatment, haven’t seen a dentist in years, or simply have questions, Dr. Ryan takes the time to listen and help you feel at ease.
Dr. Ryan earned both his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Medicine from UBC, where he received multiple awards for excellence in clinical dentistry, Endodontics, research, and community service. He is passionate about providing high-quality, evidence-based care while treating every patient like a person—not just a set of teeth.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Ryan enjoys weightlifting, hiking, skiing, golfing, and movies. He loves getting to know his patients and hopes every visit leaves you feeling comfortable, cared for, and confident about your smile.
Aile Ly
Aile brings many years of experience and a deep understanding of our patients and office operations. She supports our team at the front desk, and her familiarity with every stage of patient care helps ensure a smooth and reassuring experience. Patients appreciate Aile’s warm personality and the way she connects with them beyond routine appointments. Many enjoy catching up with her about life and family whenever they visit. Her long-standing relationships and attentive communication make her an invaluable part of our team.
Carmen Ku
Carmen is a certified dental assistant with years of experience in both chair-side assisting and reception, she brings strong organization, calm efficiency, and excellent patient coordination. Her background in hotel hospitality also contributes to her warm, attentive service. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and keeping up with the busy life of her two young children.
Maggie Liu
Maggie is a certified dental assistant who supports our clinical team with her gentle approach, friendly manner, and genuine patience. She is attentive to each person’s comfort and works seamlessly chairside to keep appointments running smoothly. Outside the clinic, Maggie dedicates much of her spare time to supporting her two daughters, who are both highly accomplished and active in their musical pursuits.
Grace Chan
Grace is an experienced chair-side assistant who brings steady, caring, and attentive support to every appointment. She works closely with the dentist to help patients feel relaxed and at ease. Before entering dentistry, she worked as an early childhood educator. This helps her understand children’s anxieties and communicate with them gently and patiently. Grace also has a background in makeup and beauty, giving her a strong eye for detail and aesthetics, which enhances the quality of care she provides.
